Explanation:
| Was Derren Brown using mind control to achieve such results? I don't think so. What you have seen was some basic physics at work. The first time the boxer tries (and succeeds) to lift a girl, she is standing near him. The second time, she simply positioned herself further away. Therefore, it was much harder - in this case impossible - to lift her. The last guy, the one who did lift her, stepped forward towards her before he tried. |
Probability of Derren Brown using suggestions to increase the effect is not completely excluded, however, I seriously doubt that this effect was anything but a clever use of laws of physics. Feel free to try it yourself.
